Mathilde Monnier Seit 1994 ist Mathilde Monnier künstlerische Leiterin des Centre Chorégraphique National de Montpellier und schuf seitdem mehrere Stücke ( Nuit 1995, L’atelier en pièces 1996, Arrêtez, arrêtons, arrête 1997, Les lieux de là 1998 / 99 ).
Im Jahre 2000 lud Mathilde Monnier im Rahmen des Festivals Montpellier Danse zahlreiche KünstlerInnen ein, den Event Potlatch, dérives zu gestalten, der die Philosophie von Geschenk und Schuld hinterfragte.
Danach schuf sie das Dyptichon Signé, Signés, das in großem Maße auf der Arbeit Merce Cunninghams und John Cages basiert.

Then she was engaged in doing the diptych Signé, Signés based considerably on Merce Cunningham‘s and John Cage’s work.
