Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte sind linguistische und didaktische Grammatik, Landeskunde und interkulturelle Kommunikation, Mehrsprachigkeit, Sprache und Integration/Migration, Lehrverhalten und Unterrichtsanalyse sowie Sprachenpolitik.

His research focuses are linguistic and didactic grammar, cultural studies and intercultural communication, multilingualism, language and integration/migration, teaching behaviour and lesson analysis, as well as the politics of language.
