Chemisches Zentralblatt ist the first and oldest comprehensive abstracts journal in chemistry and existed from 1830 till 1969.
It is a very important source for searches of literature that was published before 1940, because its abstracts were more elaborate and of better quality than those of Chemical Abstracts.
