Nach seinem Studienabschluss trat er 1991 in die Daimler-Benz AG ein , wo er bis 1997 verschiedene Aufgaben in dem Bereich Strategisches und Operatives Controlling übernahm .
1997 wechselte Dr. Meister als Leiter des Konzerncontrollings zur Jungheinrich AG nach Hamburg.
