Als « Lead Authors » sind neben Christoph Schär die ETH-Professoren und -Professorinnen Jürg Beer, Ulrike Lohmann, Konrad Steffen und Martin Wild beteiligt.
Weitere fünf ETH-Wissenschaftler – Professoren und Forscher aus dem akademischen Mittelbau – haben als «Contributing Authors» am Bericht mitgearbeitet.
Die weiteren Teilberichte, bei denen es einerseits um die Auswirkungen des Klimawandels und andererseits um die Möglichkeiten geht, ihn abzuschwächen, folgen nächstes Jahr im März und April.
