Wirkung – Was bisher erreicht wurde Verbesserung der Rahmenbedingung des Finanzsektors Das Programm hat die Entwicklung und Einführung des sogenannten MDI-Gesetzes (Microfinance Deposit-taking Institutions Act, 2003) unterstützt.Es ermöglicht lizensierten Mikrofinanzinstitutionen, Einlagen privater Sparer aufzunehmen.
Bis Ende 2012 haben mehr als 800.000 Kundinnen und Kunden, oft aus ärmeren Bevölkerungsschichten, Sparkonten eröffnet.

By 2012, more than 800,000 individuals had opened savings accounts – many of whom had never before had access to formal savings services.
