Später nahm er davon Abstand, seine Farbempfindungen in Titeln mitzuteilen, da Torke befürchtete und nach wie vor befürchtet, die Vorstellung von Farben könnte den Zuhörer von der Komplexität seiner Musik ablenken.[11] Die Britin Rebecca Saunders hingegen lässt sich, ohne synästhetisch veranlagt zu sein, von Farben anregen.
