Der Plan ist, so viele Freiwillige, SpielerInnen und Personen wie möglich am donaufestival und in ganz Österreich zur Unterstützung des Anliegens, die Federkrone zu den indigenen Rebellen nach Mexiko- Tenochtitlán rückzuführen, zu generieren, um sie daran zu erinnern, dass der Kolonialismus nach 500 Jahren immer noch kein Ende hat.
So spielt das Spiel mit der Trope der „Schatzsuche“, indem diese der Beute, resultierend aus kolonialer Expropriation und Kriegstrophäen gegenübergestellt wird, und versucht die Diskussion um Restitution und koloniale Schuld an ein größeres öffentliches Forum heranzutragen.
Der Coffee-Shop ist an jedem Festivaltag geöffnet.
www.donaufestival.atThe plan is to recruit as many volunteers, gamers, and other persons as possible at donaufestival and from all across Austria to support the endeavour of bringing the feather headdress back to the indigenous rebels in Mexico-Tenochtitlán – a reminder that after 500 years colonialism is still not over.
The “treasure hunt” motif is used in the game in combination with the “loot”, a result of colonial expropriation and war trophies, in an attempt to bring the discussion about restitution and colonial guilt to a broader public.
The coffee shop is open on all days of the festival, and there is also a programme of activities where everybody is welcome to join.
