In der Folge nahm sie gestaltenden Einfluss auf die zahlreichen Novellierungen des Bundesentschädigungsgesetzes ( BEG ) und konnte so etliche der gravierenden Gerechtigkeitslücken schließen.
Auf der Grundlage ihrer Verhandlungen wurden 1980 der Hardship Fund, 1992 der Artikel 2-Fonds sowie 1998 der Mittel- und Osteuropafonds eingerichtet, mittels derer jüdische Schwerstverfolgte, die vom BEG ausgeschlossen waren, Entschädigungsleistungen erhalten können.
Bis heute verhandelt die Claims Conference mit der Bundesregierung über Liberalisierungen der bestehenden Entschädigungsabkommen.

On the basis of its negotiations, various funds were set up: the Hardship Fund in 1980, the Article 2 Funds in 1992, and in 1998 the Central and Eastern European Fund ( CEEF ), through which Jewish persecutees who were not covered by the BEG can receive compensation benefits.
To this day, the Claims Conference continues to negotiate with the German government regarding liberalizations of the existing compensation agreements.
