Übrigens heißt „Spelling Bee” übersetzt nicht etwa „buchstabierende Biene”, sondern kommt von dem uralten Wort „bee”, das soviel wie Zusammenkunft bedeutet.

Incidentally, “Spelling Bee” doesn’t refer to a bee that spells, but derives from an ancient word, “bee,” meaning a gathering or assembly.
