Der Index zur Bewertung des eigenen Lebens beinhaltet eine Selbsteinschätzung bestehend aus zwei Kategorien ( aktuelle Lebenssituation und Einschätzung der Lebenssituation in fünf Jahren ) mithilfe der „ Cantril Self-Anchoring Striving Scale “ von 0 bis 10, wobei „ 0 “ das schlechtestmögliche Leben bedeutet und „ 10 “ für das bestmögliche Leben steht.
