Aussteller der SuperConductingCity sind u.a. die Deutsche Nanoschicht, Fujikura Europe, das Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT), Nexans SuperConductors, OSWALD Elektromotoren, RWE Deutschland, SuperOx aus Russland, SuperPower aus den USA und die koreanische Firma SuNAM.
Supraleitende Kabel ermöglichen eine höhere Stromübertragungskapazität bei gleichen Leistungsquerschnitten und niedrigerem Spannungsniveau.
