Parallel dazu war er an mehreren interdisziplinären Forschungsprojekten beteiligt, wie dem Mauthausen Survivors Research Project der Universität Wien.
Im Anschluss an seine Promotion ist Dr. Filipkowski in weitere Forschungsvorhaben eingebunden, so etwa in ein Kooperationsprojekt der Universitäten Łódź und Magdeburg.
