The European Banking Authority ( EBA ) today published the final report on the implementation of the capital exercise it launched more than a year ago with the aim of strengthening the large European banks ’ capital positions .
The 71 banking groups participating in the exercise increased their capital base by a total of more than EUR 200 billion in 2012.

Die europäische Bankenaufsichtsbehörde ( European Banking Authority , EBA ) hat heute den Endbericht ihres vor mehr als einem Jahr eingeleiteten Programms zur Rekapitalisierung der großen europäischen Banken veröffentlicht .
Insgesamt haben die 71 teilnehmenden Kreditinstitutsgruppen in diesem Jahr ihr Kapital um mehr als 200 Mrd EUR aufgestockt.

These RTS were developed by the European Banking Authority ( EBA ) and have now been endorsed by the European Commission .
Their endorsement strengthens the harmonised rules applicable to the remuneration of staff in banks and investment firms within the European Union (EU).
