Through the European Banking Industry Committee ( EBIC ) , the BVR communicates the interests of the European banking industry to EU institutions and monitors initiatives of the European Commission and the definition of standards for the financial services sector .
In Germany, the BVR participates in the German Banking Industry Committee (DK).

Der Bundesverband vertritt zudem über das European Banking Industrie Committée (EBIC) aktiv die Interessen der europäischen Kreditwirtschaft gegenüber den EU-Institutionen, begleitet Initiativen der EU-Kommission und die Normensetzung für den Finanzsektor.
In Deutschland arbeitet der BVR innerhalb der Deutschen Kreditwirtschaft (DK) zusammen.
