Außerdem hat Lufthansa eine vorzeitige Rückzahlung von Schuldscheindarlehen in Höhe von 407 Mio. Euro durch neue Schuldscheindarlehen in Höhe von 450 Mio. Euro refinanziert .
Durch diese Transaktion konnten die ursprünglichen Fälligkeiten von 2012 und 2014 auf die Jahre 2017, 2018 und 2021 verschoben und der Zinsaufwand reduziert werden.

In addition Lufthansa refinanced an early repayment of private placements for the amount of EUR 407 million with new private placements for the amount of EUR 450 million.
