Die EEX ist eine Börse nach deutschem Börsengesetz und geregelter Markt im Sinne der MiFID.Die EEX hat als Börsenorgane den Börsenrat, die Börsengeschäftsführung, Handelsüberwachungsstelle und den Sanktionsausschuss.

EEX is an exchange under the German Exchange Act and a regulated market within the meaning of MiFID. EEX has the following executive bodies: the Exchange Council, the Management Board of the Exchange and the Market Surveillance and the Sanctions Committee.
In Germany, an exchange is established as a public institution with a partial legal capacity upon granting of the corresponding exchange licence by the exchange supervisory authority.
www.eex.comGemäß Börsengesetz kann der Sanktionsausschuss einen Handelsteilnehmer mit Verweis, mit Ordnungsgeld bis zu 250.000 € oder mit Ausschluss von der Börse belegen, wenn dieser gegen börsenrechtliche Ordnungsvorschriften verstößt.
Der Sanktionsausschuss der EEX besteht derzeit aus 2 vorsitzenden und insgesamt 5 beisitzenden Mitgliedern, die ihre Tätigkeit ehrenamtlich ausüben und weder Angehörige anderer Börsenorgane noch Bedienstete der Börsenaufsichtsbehörde sind.
Der Sanktionssauschuss wird auf Antrag der Börsengeschäftsführung oder der Börsenaufsichtsbehörde tätig und ermittelt den Sachverhalt von Amts wegen.

At the moment, the Sanctions Committee of EEX has 2 chairmen and in total 5 committee members, who carry out their tasks on a voluntary basis and who are neither members of other bodies of the exchange nor employees of the Exchange Supervisory Authority.
The Sanctions Committee takes action at the request of the Management Board of the Exchange or of the Exchange Supervisory Authority and establishes the facts and circumstances of the respective case ex officio.
