Das Direktorium der EZB ist mit der Wahrnehmung des laufenden Geschäfts des Instituts betraut und bereitet die Sitzungen des EZB-Rats vor .
Es ist für die Durchführung der geldpolitischen Beschlüsse des EZB-Rats verantwortlich und gibt den nationalen Zentralbanken des Euro-Währungsgebiets die dazu notwendigen Anweisungen.

The ECB Executive Board is responsible for the day-to-day management of the ECB and prepares the meetings of the Governing Council.
It is responsible for the implementation of the monetary policy decisions passed by the Governing Council, and to that end gives the necessary instructions to the national central banks of the euro area.

In der anschließenden Diskussion mit Berenberg Chefvolkswirt und Euro-Befürworter Dr. Holger Schmieding stellten sich beide den kritischen Fragen der Teilnehmer.
