Die Schweiz und China haben heute in Peking ein neues Doppelbesteuerungsabkommen ( DBA ) auf dem Gebiet der Einkommens- und Vermögenssteuern unterzeichnet .
Es ersetzt das seit 1991 gültige Abkommen und enthält Bestimmungen über den Austausch von Informationen gemäss dem heute geltenden internationalen Standard.

Today in Beijing, Switzerland and China signed a new double taxation agreement ( DTA ) in the area of taxes on income and assets.
It replaces the agreement applicable since 1991 and contains provisions on the exchange of information in accordance with the currently applicable international standard.
www.news.admin.chDamit würde das UBS-Abkommen in einem künftigen Beschwerdefall vom BVGer nicht mehr als reine Verständigungsvereinbarung betrachtet.
Es würde vielmehr als Staatsvertrag auf gleicher Stufe wie das bilaterale Doppelbesteuerungsabkommen ( DBA ) stehen und gemäss den allgemeinen Auslegungsregeln dem älteren und allgemeinen DBA vorgehen .
Infolgedessen könnte die Schweiz nicht nur bei Steuer- oder Abgabebetrug, sondern auch bei fortgesetzter schwerer Steuerhinterziehung Amtshilfe leisten.

Instead, it will stand as a treaty of the same status as the older and more general bilateral double taxation convention.According to the general rules of interpretation, it would also take precedence over the latter.
As a result, Switzerland will be in a position to provide treaty assistance not only in cases of tax fraud, but also in cases of continued and serious tax evasion.

Bern , 06.12.2010 - Die Schweiz und Hongkong haben heute in Hongkong ein Doppelbesteuerungsabkommen ( DBA ) auf dem Gebiet der Steuern vom Einkommen unterzeichnet .
Das DBA enthält Bestimmungen über den Informationsaustausch, die gemäss den vom Bundesrat beschlossenen Eckwerten ausgehandelt worden sind und dem OECD-Standard entsprechen.

The DTA contains provisions on the exchange of information which are in accordance with the OECD standard and were negotiated in line with the parameters decided by the Federal Council.
