The Jürgen Ponto foundation has been awarding work grants to young artists since 2003.
Within the framework of their grants, David Polzin and Jeronimo Voss – the recipients of the years 2010/11 and 2012/13 – will present their works in two successive exhibitions at the MMK Zollamt.

At the MMK Zollamt, Polzin will incorporate a sequence of constructed spaces into the existing architecture.
By means of bureaucratic procedures, he will endeavour to limit physical as well as visual access to the interiors of his hermetically sealed spaces, and thus to control and restrict the visitor's perception.
www.mmk-frankfurt.dePolzin untersucht die Verwendung von Architektur und ihre soziale Funktion sowie die psychologischen Wirkungen, die die Architektur auf das Individuum ausübt.
Im MMK Zollamt wird David Polzin eine Abfolge von gebauten und begehbaren Räumen in die bestehende Architektur einsetzen.
Durch bürokratische Abläufe versucht Polzin den Zugang und den Blick in das Innere seiner hermetisch geschlossenen Räume zu limitieren, um so die Wahrnehmung des Besuchers zu steuern und einzugrenzen.

The MMK Zollamt present the recipients of the prestigious ars viva visual arts prize.
The prize is awarded annually by the Cultural Committee of German Business within the Federation of German Industry (BDI, reg. ass.).

Das MMK Zollamt präsentiert die Preisträger des renommierten ars viva-Preises für Bildende Kunst.
Der seit 1953 jährlich vom Kulturkreis der deutschen Wirtschaft im BDI e.V. vergebene Förderpreis ging für 2013/2014 an Björn Braun, John Skoog und Adrian Williams.
