In 1991, he accepted the Chair for Economics ( Public Finance ) at FAU.
He is a member of all important societies and associations in his discipline, has published three books and numerous scientific papers and is – among other works – co-editor of the renowned edition of the Klassiker der Nationalökonomie ('Classics in Political Economy').
