The vase of our collection was probably a burial object, because it was too small and therefore unsuitable for daily use.

Das Tympanon war ein beliebtes Instrument, das meist von Frauen zum Tanz oder auch bei verschiedenen Kulthandlungen, z.B. im Zusammenhang mit Dionysos, gespielt wurde.
Das Gefäß aus unserer Sammlung wird wohl als Grabbeigabe verwendet worden sein, da es für den täglichen Gebrauch zu klein und daher ungeeignet scheint.
