Professorin Dr. Gisela Schütz, 1955 geboren, studierte an der Technischen Universität München Physik und promovierte 1984 dort im Fach Kernphysik.
Im Anschluss an ihre Habilitation 1992 an der TU München im Fach Experimentalphysik wurde sie 1993 an der Universität Augsburg zur Universitätsprofessorin ernannt und übernahm 1997 einen Lehrstuhl am Institut für Experimentelle Physik der Universität Würzburg.
