HEADing device for inland waterway NAVigation (HEADNAV) Ziele Das Projekt HEAD-NAV zielt auf die Entwicklung eines kostengünstigen GPS basierten Heading Systems für die Anwendung in der Binnenschifffahrt ab.
Die durch das neue System generierten Heading Informationen werden in die Verkehrsdaten der Inland ECDIS (Electronic Chart Display and Information Service) eingebunden, sowie über den AIS (Automatic Identification System) Transponderkanal ausgesendet.

The generated heading information will be integrated into the traffic data of the Inland ECDIS (Electronic Chart Display and Information Service) and transmitted via the AIS (Automatic Identification System) data channel.
