Following the opening of the mobilkom austria 3G network to customers on April 14th, 2003, Croatia’s VIPnet now launches its own 3G test network – National and international live 3G video calls were carried out successfully – Awarding of 3G licenses in Croatia expected this year.
Croatian mobile service provider VIPnet, an 80% subsidiary of mobilkom austria, today presented Croatia’s first national 3G test network to the public.

In June 2009, T-Mobile exclusively launched the successor model of the thriving Apple iPhone 3G – the iPhone 3G S – in Germany, the Netherlands and Austria.
The iPhone 3G S is expected to go on sale in other countries, including countries in which COSMOTE mobile communications companies operate, in the third quarter of 2009.
