At the turn-off for Mittelstation when you are going up the mountain make sure you keep heading for Hochpillberg and the mountain guesthouses.
After around 100 metres you reach a branch-off ‘Alter Rodelweg, Abkürzung Grafenast’ (‘Old toboggan run, Grafenast branch-off’), and you now climb a few metres altitude uphill, until you reach Hohen Kreuz and head downhill.
You reach the starting point at Grafenast via the romantic Alpine forest.
