After a 1-year-course in general and vocational education subjects at grade 12 with special emphasis lying on electrical engineering and IT technology students are awarded the specialised higher education entrance qualification ( equivalent to BTEC national ) entitling holders to study all subjects at all universities of applied sciences.
The holders are also entitled to continue their education at grade 13 at the college of further education ( upper levels ) ( Berufsoberschule ).
The school admits students with a general school-leaving certificate at lower secondary level (GCSE B-levels) (Mittlerer Schulabschluss) who have either completed a basic vocational training with an NVQ or five years ' working experience.
