It came into force when published in the German Federal Law Gazette ( Bundesgesetzblatt ) on 15 May 2001.

The most recent related decree ( Bundesgesetzblatt 2001 part 1, vol.35, p. 1591, July 2001 ) states that beginning with 2002 and until further notice, daylight saving time shall be introduced between the last Sunday of March and the last Sunday of October.

Die aktuelle Verordnung ( Bundesgesetzblatt 2001 Teil 1, Nr. 35, S. 1591, Juli 2001 ) legt fest, dass ab dem Jahr 2002 die mitteleuropäische Sommerzeit auf unbestimmte Zeit eingeführt wird, und zwar immer zwischen dem letzten Sonntag im März und dem letzten Sonntag im Oktober.
