From 1965 to 1994 the UB was a legal deposit library of Berlin.
Therefore in this period the UB collected materials that would normally not be found in a university library, for example, bibliophile editions of the Berliner Handpresse publishers and political documents / writings of the German student movement from the 1960s and early 1970s.
