The two prisons form a historic, listed prison facility for men (JVA Willich I) and women (JVA Willich II).
The facility was built in the 19th century, but two new buildings have recently enhanced the ensemble: a detention building for women and a new exterior gate from where all areas of the facility can be reached.

With the understanding of those in prison, we regularly transfer money to their JVA account, in order to break their isolation (for telephone cards, stamps, radio, televesion, etc.).
In addition, we are organizing clothing, books, and other ways of passing the time, we send letters and packages and coordinate the strongly limited visitor hours they are allowed ( twice a month for one hour) and we are in contact with their lawyers.

In Absprache mit den Inhaftierten überweisen wir ihnen regelmäßig Geld auf ihr JVA-Konto, um diese Isolation zu durchbrechen (für Telefonkarten, Briefmarken, Musikgeräte, Fernsehgeräte, etc.).
Außerdem besorgen wir Kleidung, Bücher und weitere Beschäftigungsmöglichkeiten, schicken Briefe und Pakete, organisieren den stark eingeschränkten Besuch (zweimal im Monat für jeweils eine Stunde) und sind in stetem Kontakt mit den Anwält_innen.
