The Federal Government will set up its own National Information and Co-operation Centre ( NICC ) in Berlin for the World Cup as well as for the Confederations Cup.
NICC's function is, among other things, to produce a "National Status Report on World Cup 2006" (Nationales Lagebild WM 2006) on a daily basis.
