In 1985 to commemorate the opening of the Gasteig, he joined forces with Martin-Albrecht Rohde (viola) and Michael Hell (violoncello) to found the Gasteig Trio of Munich, and in 1996 he founded the Philharmonic String Sextet.

An exhibition stand created by Martin Albrecht, from the Designerschmiede Leutasch, received a lot of attention and the catering, prepared by the company Plangger and served by staff from the tourist office and Seefeld Ski Club, reinforced the authenticity of the Seefeld bid.
In the run-up, the mayor, Mag. Werner Friesser, and the tourist office director, Markus Tschoner, had visited most of the FIS board members in order to speak to them personally and tell them about the benefits not only of Seefeld but of the Olympiaregion Seefeld as a whole.

Plangger, serviert von MitarbeiterInnen des Tourismusverbandes und des Skiclubs Seefeld unterstrich das authentische Auftreten von Seefeld.
Im Vorfeld besuchten Bürgermeister Mag. Werner Friesser gemeinsam mit TVB-Direktor Markus Tschoner den Großteil der FIS-Vorstände, um im persönlichen Gespräch die Vorzüge Seefelds und jene der gesamten Olympiaregion Seefeld näher zu bringen.
