Jonas Grosch, born November 25, 1981, in Freiburg im Breisgau, started to study comparative literature and philosophy but then changed for Hochschule für Film und Fernsehen ( HFF ) in Potsdam where he studied in the department of screenplay and dramatic composition.
With his feature-length debut " Der Weiße mit dem Schwarzbrot " (" White Man with Black Bread ", 2007) , he already drew a lot of attention from film critics although he was still studying in Potsdam.
