A road leads from Quadrati to the Weiler at Rio Lagundo and then a footpath carries on to Marlengo and Lana.
The name “Quadrati” refers to the “Steinquader”, or square stone slabs, found nearby.
We know that marble was quarried here in Roman times and the milestones which were found along the Roman road, the via Claudia Augusta, were quarried somewhere in this area.
