Professor Andreas Eicker studied law at the University of Bremen, with primary focus on criminal law.
He completed his doctorate at the University of St. Gallen with a dissertation on Transstaatliche Strafverfolgung ( transborder criminal prosecution ).It dealt with the Europeanisation, internationalisation and development of the principle of ne bis in idem.
He completed his post-doctoral lecture qualification at the University of Berne in 2009 with a thesis on Prozeduralisierung des Strafrechts ( the proceduralisation of criminal law ).
