On July 19, 1950, the Central Council of Jews in Germany (Zentralrat der Juden in Deutschland) was founded;
the four members of the board of directors were Philipp Auerbach, Heinz Galinski, Pessah Piekatsch, and Norbert Wollheim.

Am 19. Juli 1950 wurde der Zentralrat der Juden in Deutschland gegründet;
das vierköpfige Direktorium bildeten Philipp Auerbach, Heinz Galinski, Pessah Piekatsch und Norbert Wollheim.
