Psychoanalytically based procedures are forms of aetiologically or causally orientated psychotherapy . These forms of therapy concentrate on the subconscious psychodynamics of neurotic disorders with psychological or somatic symptoms .
In the context of the Psychotherapy Directive, psychotherapy based on depth psychology and analytical psychotherapy are regarded as psychoanalytically based procedures.
