Da das Überströmventil gegen freie Atmosphäre abströmt, ist infolge des hohen Druckgefälles ein großer Durchsatz möglich.
Die in der Auswahltabelle ausgewiesene Durchfluß- leistung gilt für gleichförmige Strömung von Wasser und ähnlichen Flüssigkeiten bezüglich Viskosität und Dichte, wie sie bei Kreiselpumpen oder oszillierenden Dosierpumpen mit ausreichend bemessenem Pulsationsdämpfer auftritt.

Since the relief valve discharges into the atmosphere, a high throughput is possible due to the considerable pressure drop.
The flow rate shown in the selection table applies to uniform flow of water and similar liquids with regard to viscosity and density, as in the case of centrifugal pumps or positive displacement pumps with a properly sized pulsation dampener.
