Im SS 2002 wurde im Rahmen eines sprachwissenschaftlichen Proseminars über Spracherwerbstheorien auf die Initiative von Dr. Kiraly hin ein Anfängerkurs Ungarisch angeboten, der von zwei Studenten aus einer Universität in Budapest abgehalten wurde.
Diese Studenten hatten keinerlei Erfahrung mit der Methode des Natural Approachs, dennoch nahmen sie die Herausforderung an.
Eine Woche vor Beginn des Proseminars machte sie Dr. Kiraly mit dem Natural Approach vertraut.
