Die Marktkapitalisierung am letzten Börsenhandelstag des Geschäftsjahres 2012/13 belief sich auf 6,9 Mrd. € bei einem XETRA®-Schlusskurs von 33,55 € je Aktie und 204,2 Millionen Inhaber-Stammaktien. Südzucker rangierte im MDAX® damit auf Rang 5.
Das gezeichnete Kapital erhöhte sich am 21. November 2012 von 189,4 auf 204,0 Mio. Aktien im Zuge der Kapitalerhöhung aus genehmigtem Kapital von 14,6 Mio. € zur Finanzierung des Rückkaufes der 2,5 %-Wandelanleihe.

At an XETRA® closing price of € 33.55 per share and 204.2 million common bearer shares outstanding, the company's market capitalization on the last trading day of the 2012/13 fiscal year amounted to € 6.9 billion. Südzucker was thus ranked fifth on the MDAX®.
The subscribed capital increased from 189.4 to 204.0 million shares on November 21, 2012 after execution of a capital increase from approved capital of € 14.6 million to finance the redemption of the 2.5 % convertible bond.
