Professor Boches Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen in der Theorie drahtloser Netzwerke und Angewandter Mathematik – wie beispielweise der Wahrscheinlichkeitstheorie, Optimierungstheorie und Spieltheorie oder auch der Quanteninformationstheorie.
Professor Boche (1966) studierte Informationstechnologie und Mathematik an der Universität Dresden und promovierte in Ingenieurswissenschaften an der TU Dresden als auch in Mathematik an der TU Berlin.
Im Jahr 2002 folgte er dem Ruf an die TU Berlin.
