Yoann Conte brilliert gleichermassen durch seine Herkunft als Schüler eines grossen Meisters der französischen Haute Cuisine und seine losgelöste Eigenständigkeit als ein ebensolcher.
2010 übernahm der gebürtige Bretone in Annecy die Führung des Hotelrestaurants seines Mentors Marc Veyrat, des berühmten Drei-Sterne-Kochs.
