Angela Leung ist seit Januar 2011 Direktorin und Professorin am Institut für Geistes- und Sozialwissenschaften der University of Hong Kong.
Zuvor war sie Inhaberin des Lehrstuhls für Geschichte an der Chinese University of Hong Kong , Research Fellow an der Academia Sinica , Taipeh , Taiwan , und hat am Seminar für Geschichte der National Taiwan University unterrichtet .
Im Juli 2010 wurde die Wissenschaftlerin an die Academia Sinica berufen.

Twelve students from four universities ( Hong Kong Baptist University , City University of Hong Kong , The Chinese University of Hong Kong and The University of Hong Kong ) contended against each other in a competition each with an eight-minute presentation in German language on the topic “ What is Hong Kong for me ” .
The competition was jointly organised by the German Consulate General in Hong Kong, Goethe-Institut Hongkong and the School of Modern Languages and Cultures of HKU.
