Sobald finanzierende Banken gemäß den Equator Principles arbeiten und die IFC-Standards anwenden , gelten diese für das gesamte Projekt . Hierdurch wird ein Nebeneinander unterschiedlicher Standards innerhalb eines Projekts vermieden .

In the CA the OECD member states agreed that, as a rule, the standards of the World Bank will be regularly used as benchmark.

However , if the banks funding the project work according to the Equator Principles and apply the IFC standards , these standards shall apply to the entire project thus avoiding the parallel use of different sets of standards for one and the same project .
