» Wenn ein Verstoß gegen diese Norm begangen werden würde, sollen sich die Täter bewußt sein, daß sie sich die dem Apostolischen Stuhl vorbehaltene Exkommunikation als Tatstrafe zuziehen. «

www.vatican.vaEs ist zu wünschen, daß diesem Schritt die baldmögliche Verwirklichung der vollen Gemeinschaft der gesamten Bruderschaft St. Pius X. mit der Kirche folgt, um so die echte Treue und wahre Anerkennung des Lehramts und der Autorität des Papstes durch ein Zeichen der sichtbaren Einheit zu bezeugen.
Auf Grundlage der mir ausdrücklich vom Heiligen Vater Benedikt XVI. übertragenen Vollmacht hebe ich kraft dieses Dekrets für die Bischöfe Bernard Fellay, Bernard Tissier de Mallerais, Richard Williamson und Alfonso de Galarreta die Strafe der Exkommunikation latae sententiae auf, die von dieser Kongregation mit Datum vom 1. Juli 1988 erklärt worden war.
Ich erkläre das damals erlassene Dekret ab dem heutigen Datum für juristisch wirkungslos.

On the basis of the powers expressly granted to me by the Holy Father Benedict XVI, by virtue of the present Decree I remit the penalty of excommunication latae sententiae incurred by Bishops Bernard Fellay, Bernard Tissier de Mallerais, Richard Williamson and Alfonso de Galarreta, and declared by this Congregation on 1 July 1988.
At the same time I declare that, as of today s date, the Decree issued at that time no longer has juridical effect.
