Die Siedlung über dem linken Ufer des Flusses Kamnitz ( Kamenice ) ist ein Teil der Gemeinde Rosendorf ( Růžová ) und sie ist Hl. Jacob dem Großen geweiht.
Früher ernährten sich die Bewohner von Arbeit im Wald, Schwemmen von Holz, der Herstellung von Holzteer und Pech.
Heute ist es vor allem ein Erholungsort.

While the original inhabitants made their living working in the forest, timber rafting and wood processing (charcoal and tar production), the village is today mainly used for private leisure purposes.
