Die Impfambulanz der Abteilung für Hygiene, Sozial- und Umweltmedizin der Ruhr-Universität Bochum ist eine vom Gesundheitsministerium Nordrhein-Westfalen gemäß WHO lizenzierte Gelbfieberimpfstelle und bietet neben der reisemedizinischen Beratung einschließlich der Malariaprophylaxe alle Impfungen, auch Sonderimpfungen wie z. B. Japan-B Enzephalitis, an.
Die Impfärzte sind Fachärzte für Hygiene und Umweltmedizin bzw. in der reisemedizinischen Gesundheitsberatung weitergebildet und zertifiziert.
Die Beratung erfolgt unter Beachtung der Empfehlungen der Ständigen Impfkommission am Robert-Koch-Institut (STIKO) und der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Tropenmedizin und Internationale Gesundheit e.
