Die Y Gene sind erwartungsgemäß nur in der männlichen Keimbahn funktionell aktiv, die X Gene sind dies auch, werden daneben aber auch in der weiblichen Keimbahn aktiv.
Eine quantitative Expressionsanalyse der funktionell gleichen X homologen Gene im Gonadengewebe der DSD-Y-Patienten ist deshalb in dieses Projekt integriert.
