Hervorgegangen aus der „C.A. Klinger Maschinenfabrik“, einer 1854 hier in Stolpen gegründeten Dreschmaschinenfabrik, wurde das im Osten Deutschlands gelegene Unternehmen nach 1945 verstaatlicht und ein Teilbetrieb des Kombinates Fortschritt Erntemaschinen.
Nach der politischen Wende im Jahr 1989 wurde das Unternehmen reprivatisiert und firmiert seitdem als Maschinenfabrik Stolpen GmbH.

Developed from the „C.A. Klinger Maschinenfabrik“, a threshing machine factory incorporated here in Stolpen in 1854, the company, located in the Eastern part of Germany was nationalised after 1945, becoming a part operation of the combines progressive harvesting machines.
Following the political turnabout in the year 1989 the company was re-privatised and ever since trades under the name “Maschinenfabrik Stolpen GmbH”.

Die Aktivitäten auf diesem Gebiet in Oberkochen und in Jena werden zusammengefasst.
