„ Unter den Augen des großen Bruders. “ Litauische Kinderbuchillustration zwischen 1945 und 1990 Während der Sowjetherrschaft bot die litauische Kinderliteratur Zuflucht für viele Autoren und Illustratoren und wurde zum Hort künstlerischer Auffassungen, die den ideologischen Vorgaben des „ großen Bruders “ entgegenstanden.
Die Ausstellung beleuchtet in Originalillustrationen und Büchern verschiedene Phasen und Konzepte der litauischen Kinderbuchillustration im Umgang mit der Sowjetideologie.

Under the watch of Big Brother Lithuanian Children ’ s Book Illustrations from 1945 to 1990 During the time of the Soviet power Lithuanian children ’ s literature offered a refuge for many authors and illustrators. It protected the artistic perceptions which went against the ideological guidelines of the so-called “ Big Brother ”.
The exhibition uses original illustrations and books to illuminate the different phases and concepts the Lithuanian illustrators had in relation to Soviet ideology.
